Mt. Taishan in Tai'an of Shandong Province, is one of China's Five Sacred Mountains. They say you'll live to 100 if you make it to the top. In ancient times, the first thing an emperor would do upon ascending to the throne was to climb Mount Taishan and pray for their ancestors. It is said that 72 emperors made this pilgrimages. Many poets and literary scholars have also visited the mountain in search of inspiration.

Taishan Mountain is 2.600 m. above sea level. At dawn, sub-zero temperatures ate the life out of my battery. The fog was so dense it sucked away all the colors, creating a silk painting effect that lives up to the real thing.
